iPhone OS 3.0

iphone-3-new-11
Apple has sent invitations to catch a sneak-peek at iPhone OS 3.0. Here’s my wishlist:

1. Copy and paste! Why, dear Apple, haven’t you included such a feature? I find myself needing to copy phone numbers, text messages, emails, and other text daily.

2. Push notifications! Apple promised this much-needed feature to us months ago. When one of my friends sends me an instant message, I’d like to know about it.

3. MMS! Apple, name a single phone with a camera that doesn’t allow you to send pictures to other phones.

4. A redesigned SpringBoard! I have 8 pages of apps and it’s impossible to manage them all. If I install a new app, it’s next to impossible to move it to the first page without destroying the layout.

5. The ability to record video! It’s been proven that the hardware can handle it, so why not allow us to record video without a jailbreak?

Very inciteful! How about a way to add apps to the iPhone without a jailbreak? A shell app to run others in?

  2. You can already add apps to the iPhone without a jailbreak via the App Store, but I don’t think that Apple would approve an SSH app because it could allow users to run apps that Apple hasn’t approved.
